Vinnai Thandi Varuvaaya audio creates history!

Maestro AR Rahman and Gautham Vasudeva Menon has created audio history as there has been a terrific advance booking for their Vinnai Thandi Varuvaaya (VTV) audio!

A spokesperson of Sony Music said: “For the first time ever even before the release of the album, Amazon.com has overwhelming pre-release response for CD orders of VTV audio. The CD has already been marked as number 1 in the category of “Music > World Music > Far East & Asia. It clearly means before the release it is already the top seller in Far East and Asia category. No other product has got such a response on Amazon.”

VTV is ARR’s first composition after the success of Oscar Winning Slumdog Millionaire. The album has combined seven songs in voices of Karthik, Naresh Iyer, Benny Dayal, , Blaaze, Devan Ekambaram,Vijayprakash, Shreya Ghoshal, Chinmayi, Suzaane, Alphonse, Kalyani Menon and Rahman himself. The album’s lyrics are penned by Thamarai. The album features six songs in Tamil and one in Malayalam plus a theme track by the academy award winner himself.

Meanwhile the first ever rocking song from VTV, Hosanna… sung by Blaaze, Vijayaprakash and Suzaane will break over all FM stations in Tamil Nadu today (January 9). On Tuesday (January 12) AR Rahman, GVM and Sony Music will be having the Indian audio launch of the film at a popular multiplex in Chennai.
